What a great New Year! Here we are at March 17 already. It's hard to believe I have had the honor of serving as your Supervisor of Elections for over a year. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve. It's Election Year!
Your Supervisor of Election's and staff are very busy preparing for the 2022 elections.
We have two new precinct buildings for 2022. We have secured CF College as Precinct 300 and Redemption Point AG as Precinct 406.
Candidates are qualifying for local offices. You can find their information on our website, votecitrus.gov under the candidates tab.
We completed the voter registration and education drives at all three High Schools and two homeschool groups. See some pictures below. I am excited to see the students become voters for the first time in the 2022 elections.
Outreach has been a great success since all year. The Outreach staff continues to be busy out in the community. Below is our outreach calendar. Stop by and say hello.
As you might have read in the paper we have turned 381 initiative petitions over to the State Attorney's office for review for possible identity theft. We will keep you updated on this matter. Know that your Supervisor will follow through to help stop these actions.
We have reached out and contacted our election workers for the 2022 elections. We have many voters interested in working the elections.
Please reach out to your elections office if you have questions. We should be your source for election information. When we had elections for the students, one of the questions we ask is 'where do you get your election information'? Most answered the internet and hardly any said they would ask their Supervisor of Elections. Folks please ask us your election information questions. We are your election experts and we are here to serve the voters of Citrus county.
Serving Citrus,
Maureen 'Mo' Baird
