November 2021

The biggest challenge we face is election integrity. Please visit our website votecitrus.gov to read more about election integrity in Citrus county. Click Disinformation to read about one of our greatest threats to elections.

We have been working diligently at the Supervisor of Elections office in preparation for the 2022 elections. We had two more election worker orientation classes on November 5th.

Every ten years after the census the legislators will reapportioned the state with new congressional, house, and senate district lines. Florida has gained one new congressional district.

The new county commission and school board district lines have been submitted for approval at the next upcoming meetings for both entities. They evaluate the districts after the census to get the population numbers as equal as possible.

We are currently working with the new census numbers and our precinct maps for the 2022 elections. We will receive the state data in April of 2022 and will mail out new voter cards to all voters.

We wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends.

Vote in Honor of a Vet

The Vote in Honor of a Vet program honors the sacrifice members, of the United States Armed Forces, make to protect Americans' right to vote. As part of the Supervisor of Elections voter education program, the objective is to encourage voter participation among younger adults by sharing the biographies, contributions, and words of encouragement from Citrus County Veterans or their families. Participation in this program by Citrus County veterans and their families will make registering and voting a more personal experience for our young adults. Additionally, it will help them understand the important correlation between our veterans' sacrifices and their right to vote. Veterans or their families wishing to participate in the program should contact our office for more details. We need your participation to make this program a success! If you are interested in being a part of this program, please contact our office.
